I’m sure everyone has at least heard of the Appletini at some point in your life, and maybe even enjoyed one. The Appletini is so refreshing with a little tartness from the sour apple picker and sweet n sour mix. They were very popular in the late 1990’s. I’m sure they are still pretty popular, as they taste so good!  But if you’re not careful, these tasty concoctions will sneak up on you pretty quick. They taste so refreshing you don’t notice the alcohol all that much. My wife and I like to enjoy an Appletini from time to time and a few weeks ago, I made this amazing mint apple jelly using mint from our garden and apple juice. This jelly has the most refreshing flavor, that’s great on so many things. I told my wife, “You know, I bet this would be an amazing addition to an Appletini!” She agreed so I decided to give it a shot. What I love about this jelly is that it is not overwhelmingly flavored like mint, but it’s quite refreshing. I added some ice to a shaker, followed by vodka, Sour Apple Pucker, apple juice and sweet n sour mix, and a dash of the mint apple jelly. Shake vigorously until ice cold and strain into a chilled martini glass. I promise you, this is a very refreshing and tasty Appletini. Enjoy!
