I’ve posted about the ever-delicious Cosmopolitan, previously. As mentioned before, the Cosmopolitan was the signature drink for Carrie Bradshaw and her friends in the 90’s Sex and the City series and before that was a favorite among Madonna and other celebrities. In the 1960’s, the recipe was even on the Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice bottles and at that time was known as the Harpoon. Today, we are putting a twist on this delicious cocktail by adding mandarin.
To get an amazing mandarin flavor, I recommend trying Morey Mandarincello, which is produced in the Balearic Island of Mallorca. This mandarin liqueur is well balanced and refined, filled with mandarin and citrus and a smooth yet sweet finish. You’ll probably laugh, but I kid you not, this liqueur tastes just like Triaminic, a delicious cough syrup that I loved when I was growing up! You might not think that’s a good thing, but it’s a flavor that really takes me back to my childhood and memories of being excited that getting a cough meant I got to have that wonderful drink! Combine Morey Mandarincello, Absolut mandarin, white cranberry juice, and lime juice for the perfect, refreshing cocktail. Enjoy!
